Master Sommelier Andrea Immer Robinson Launches New "Quench" Series

Edited by와인인 에디터

Andrea Immer Robinson, MS, announces today the launch of a new monthly livestream series, “Quench”, premiering on Wednesday, October 16 at 5:30pm PT/8:30pm ET on her YouTube channel.

Hosted by Andrea – who brings her expertise as an award-winning TV host, author, chef, and three-time winner of the coveted James Beard Award – episodes will feature a taste-and-learn theme, with wine and beverage deep dives, pairing tips and cooking, guest stars, and a sustainability segment to help wine lovers navigate the certifications and explore the people- and planet-forward innovations elevating wine quality around the globe.

Coupled with her expertise, Andrea has a knack for taking the seemingly daunting subject of wine and food, and bringing it down to earth for all to understand and enjoy; so, there is no doubt viewers will learn something new while having a lot of fun.

“I’m thrilled to bring ‘Quench’ to life,” Andrea explains. “I am a huge believer that sharing wine and beverage (along with food), as we have been doing as human beings since the dawn of time, is the best way to celebrate our connection to one another – and there is always something new to discover!”

It is no coincidence that the first show airs in October, in camaraderie with the wine industry’s Come Over October campaign, which aims to highlight the tradition of conviviality and connection that unites wine enthusiasts across the globe.

The premiere episode of “Quench” will focus on Next-Gen Napa and The Big Six Grapes. If you know these six French classic grapes, “you already know a ton about wine,” according to Andrea. “So, we’ll explore their style profiles and origin stories through top examples from the Napa Valley including Trefethen Riesling, Trois Noix Ryan’s Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc, Grgich Hills Chardonnay, Ceja Vineyards Carneros Pinot Noir, Frog’s Leap Cabernet Sauvignon, and Farella Syrah.”

Followers of the show are encouraged to email questions to askquench@gmail.com and if their question is chosen for the show, they will receive a two-pack set of The ONE stemware, designed by the Master Sommelier herself.

The show will air on Andrea’s YouTube channel and will simultaneously stream on her Facebook page. More information on the series will be available on Andrea’s website.

About THE ONE

THE ONE™ stemware, which Robinson developed after years of analyzing wine glasses, features two stems that optimize all wines. “After discovering the best design attributes that enhance any wine’s bouquet, I realized that you only need one shape to unleash all that the wine has to offer. THE ONE has crystal clarity, a thin rim, and a precision shape and size that out-perform a cabinet full of grape-specific stems,” Robinson explains. “In addition, as a sommelier and a mother of three, I was determined to make THE ONE glasses practical. They are break-resistant, dishwasher-safe, and lead free” she adds. They can be purchased at https://andreawine.com/theonewineglass/.
